Not quite the podium he had, though :-) All better, just a bit thinner than I was a week ago which is not a bad thing! alison.Alison Sampsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04492848177186327971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1839440111268667274.post-51055834378813305902012-04-26T20:29:18.826+10:002012-04-26T20:29:18.826+10:00Wow, Alison. I'm fond of broccoli, usually cooked, but after reading this it takes on a whole new demeanor for me.Though that I gather is not the point of your post about friendship, for better and worse. I hope you've recovered by now.Elisabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04015624747225433940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1839440111268667274.post-52810992205252450962012-04-26T16:30:46.995+10:002012-04-26T16:30:46.995+10:00Thanks Jeff for the comments - it is so true, it i...Thanks Jeff for the comments - it is so true, it is in times of vulnerability that one realises exactly who are one's true friends, and thus vulnerability is something to be grateful for - and yet paradoxically is something we remain scared of. Personally, I suspect most of us are fundamentally afraid to be known and loved. Weird, but there you are. alison.Alison Sampsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04492848177186327971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1839440111268667274.post-89082476038407117302012-04-26T16:02:27.787+10:002012-04-26T16:02:27.787+10:00I can relate to so much of what you have written h...I can relate to so much of what you have written here. What is it that gets in the way of the unconditional love/acceptance which those close to us so generously offer? I love the saying 'Those who mind, don't matter...and Those who matter, don't mind'. Vulnerability can be a scary thing - it is also the state which enables true friendships/connections to blossom and validate who and what we are. Best wishes. Jeff.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
